Information Architecture

When building houses, we use architects to think, plan and draw our houses so they meet building requirements, our needs, others needs and make a blue-print we all can follow so we all build the same house.

Information architecture is not much differet, but in the information domain; we think about what our information is, where to put it, we create prototypes of the ideas, we communicate with the customer to meet their needs, think about other peoples needs, and create reports, specifications and guidelines to make sure other developers build the site that - to the best of our abilities - is what we all want to build.
